As I promised last week on White Wednesday, here is a before and after of one of the projects that I worked on a couple of weeks ago.

The File Box

"Ribbon and Lace"

First thing to go were the handles. But still could not make up my mind, first I chose these depression glass but as you will see at the end I decided on clear glass handles.

Lucky me my Deano sprayed everything Opal white for me. This Opal white is " Eggshell Opal White from Glidden"

By using a Black Patina I dipped all the metal parts in it and wiped clean to give the antique look.

Then I changed my mind and painted the outside of the box a antique pink.

Not liking the green knobs I changed them for

the clear glass knobs.

"Ribbons"
"Lace"

Ciao for now

  6. I love the drawers! They are one of my favorite things - old drawers, old boxes and old wood. You really did a nice job, the pink is perfect and the finishing touches are those metal tags with the Italian labels. Too cute!
